Prime Healthcare Continues Growth with Completed Acquisitions of Dallas
Regional Medical Center in Texas and Riverview Regional Medical Center
in Alabama
Ontario, Calif., March 2, 2015 – Prime Healthcare announced today
that it has completed its acquisition of two hospitals from subsidiaries
of Community Health Systems: Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite,
Texas and Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama, as well
as related outpatient services.

Dallas Regional Medical Center, founded in 1926, is a 202-bed acute-care
hospital serving Dallas County in Texas and the surrounding area. It has
approximately 550 employees and is one of the largest employers in Mesquite.
The facility offers a full range of services and programs, including a
da Vinci Surgical System, Heart and Vascular Center, MAKO Robotic Surgery
System, and Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center. It is accredited by the
Joint Commission, the nation's leading organization in setting healthcare
standards and accrediting facilities in the United States. The addition
of Dallas Regional will give Prime Healthcare a presence of five facilities
in Texas, adding to Dallas Medical Center, Harlingen Medical Center, Knapp
Medical Center and Pampa Regional Medical Center
Located in Gadsden, Alabama, Riverview Regional Medical Center is a 281-bed
acute-care hospital serving more than 350,000 residents in Etowah and
the contiguous counties. A full range of services and programs are offered,
including an Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy Lab, Heartburn Treatment Center,
Imaging Center, Sleep Lab, and Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center. Riverview
Regional Medical Center is also accredited by the Joint Commission. Riverview
Regional Medical Center was originally founded in 1926 by the Sisters
of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity. Riverview will
be Prime Healthcare's first facility in Alabama and will have the
support of Prime facilities in nearby states.
