Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center's Volunteer Guild has received a $10,000 donation for its healthcare student scholarship program from the Prime Healthcare Foundation. The foundation, which was founded by Prem Reddy, M.D., FACC, FCCP, Chairman, President and CEO of Prime Healthcare Services, has a long history of contributions towards student scholarships, free medical care and medical clinics.
"We are thrilled to receive this donation that will further the education efforts of our local students," said Frank Pittington, chairman of the Guild Scholarship Committee. "This donation reflects the commitment that Dr. Reddy and his family have to giving back to the communities they serve."
The Garden Grove Hospital Guild scholarship program has been funding education for healthcare professionals since 1961. Scholarship winners have gone on to careers as physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and other areas in the medical field. The scholarships will be awarded at a luncheon on Friday, July 13 at Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center.

Garden Grove Hospital is part of Prime Healthcare which was recognized as the "Top 15 Health System in the Nation" in 2012 and the "Top 10 Health System in the Nation" in 2009 by Thomson Reuters.
